In her community, everyone calls her Badi Ma. At Rang Bazaar, though, Raajkumari is one of our newer members—and one of the most inspiring.
She carries the grace of someone who has lived many roles, yet the humility of a learner. Even though she is the eldest in the team, she never hesitates to learn from younger artisans. If a stitch goes wrong, she quietly pulls it out and starts again, reminding us all that patience is strength.
When she first came to Rang Bazaar, she didn’t come alone. Her courage to step forward also brought two more women into the fold. That one act of showing up changed not just her journey, but ours as well.
Today, she continues to push herself—joining a stitching centre to sharpen her skills, taking on new designs, and reminding us that beginnings are possible at any age. She credits Rang Bazaar for giving her growth, but we know it’s her spirit of courage and learning that has made her who she is.
